Overview:

 

Established real estate division is seeking an innovative and energetic leader for the development of over 11,000 residential lots and several million square feet of commercial property in California and Hawaii.  Our entitled and approved projects are ready for implementation of unique, creative and exceptional development.  The successful candidate will work within a highly motivated internal team and outside consultants  through the development process.  This position will be responsible for aligning development goals with ownership and executing development plans. Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead and coordinate teams of engineers, construction consultants, planners, architects, landscape architects, finance consultants, marketing consultants, traffic consultants, legal, and others required to design and construct master planned communities.
  • Lead team in developing creative and cost efficient design elements that will make our communities truly unique.
  • Manage and implement conditions of approval and mitigation measures for each project.
  • Conduct site tours of development sites as required.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with government (local, State and Federal) officials and represent projects to and with related professional member organizations.
  • Assist in marketing efforts to attract residential builders and commercial users to our projects.

Qualifications:

Highly organized and creative individual that can manage and collaborate to solve complex problems for a wide array of challenges and opportunities associated with each real estate project.  A sense of urgency and commitment to mutual success is essential.  A positive and outgoing attitude and a willingness to take on any multiple and varied challenges is important.  A team player that can work well with others and bring out the best in other team members and consultants.

  • Seven plus years in master planned community financing/development, CFD and HOA formation and/or homebuilding, or commensurate experience in real estate development;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to work and present at high level, executive and elected official meetings;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word excel and project
  • Strong understanding of the design and financial components of master planned communities.
