Job Description

SBM Management is currently looking to hire a Senior Director of Payroll to join their team! 

  • Oversee and manage staff to accurately process payroll for over 8,000 employees on a biweekly basis, including hourly and salaried employees.
  • Serves as the principal lead for payroll to identify, track, research, resolve, communicate and implement fixes, including data audits and payroll testing
  • Evaluates existing processes and provides recommendations for process improvements through collaboration with Management and Payroll team members
  • Ensure payroll tax payments are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local tax laws.
  • Leverage company technology to improve time and attendance and recording enhancements
  • Project management
  • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate improvements and improved working relationships
  • Lead and develop communication strategies to newly hired and existing staff to improve understanding of our payroll approach
  • Oversees the launch of new initiatives needed to improve communication and the customer experience and overcoming any obstacles or inefficiencies in the process affecting all staff.
  • Coaches team in utilizing standard practices specifically focusing on ongoing communication throughout the year
  • Create and implement SLAs and KPIs that meet the needs of the business and ensure a culture of excellent customer service to all employees and partners.
  • Act as the point of escalation for partners across all business units by conducting root cause analysis to effectively troubleshoot.

Job Requirements

  • Will have strong payroll experience ideally gained from managing centralized payrolls for multiple operations, including international
  • Bachelor's degree ideally. Masters/MBA is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and written, verbal communication skills. With the ability to interact with not only team members but also all levels of the organization and external organizations
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations 
  • Have strong Analytical skills, preferably by utilization of technology
  • Competency with appropriate office software tools including use of Payroll Systems, etc.

Available Shift:  Full Time

Compensation:  Depends on experience
