Job Description

SBM Management is looking for a talented, forward-thinking Graphic Design Manager to join our team! As an integral part of and leader within the Marketing Department, this role requires a skilled professional who will create and implement visual design elements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to express abstract ideas visually are vital to the success of this position. This role demands an attention to detail with a deep understanding of the broader overall corporate objectives.

  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; owns projects from beginning to end, resulting in departmental improvements and overall value
  • Design and implement marketing strategies aligned with business targets
  • Assists in directing and executing the design of marketing assets as prescribed by creative/marketing briefs
  • Provides graphic design direction on small- and large-scale projects, from creative conception to completion
  • Recommends, researches, and develops imagery (e.g., graphics, illustration) to support creative execution
  • Ensures the highest quality across all correspondence, marketing materials, presentations, and proposals
  • Collaborates with copywriters to artfully build creative solutions that address specific project objectives
  • Directs and is accountable for the final development and production of creative assets, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, in order to meet or exceed design objectives
  • Ensures brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions
  • Actively contributes conceptual ideas in brainstorming sessions or offline creative development
  • Works to improve the team’s overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach
  • Provides visible support for leadership and helps build a unified team mindset
  • Forecasts market trends and maintains best practices
  • Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; implementing changes
  • Understands marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
  • Coordinates with the rest of the team across different types of media

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in graphic design, marketing, communications; or seven to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with software developers, UX/UI designers, business analysts, sales, marketing, operations, and executive leadership to ensure production of industry-leading software solutions that increase revenue and support achieving sales goals.
