CFO/Financial Controller

SBM Management is looking for a hands on financial leader to join our corporate executive team overseeing our new division of software development. SBM has been using this software platform to run our core operations.   We are now positioning the software as a separate business line in preparation for an additional SaaS offering.  We are seeking someone who’s built and run accounting and finance teams; established policies, processes and procedures and scaled the same for growth

The role will financially oversee our software development division, with primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, business intelligence, strategic planning, customer relationships and future business development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all budgeting and business modelling including revenue models and validation of revenue streams.
  • Responsible for all core accounting functions as performed by a shared services model or in house as appropriate.
  • Responsible for implementing solid cost accounting routines to measure and track software development activities to assist management in driving productivity and scope completion goals.  
  • Requires excellent accounting,  finance, management and business skills.
  • Establish and develop scalable solutions that improve services, business controls, employee and client satisfaction and profitability.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business and initiate opportunities for improvement.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Requires excellent written and virtual communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field from a four-year college or university with 5+ years in a software development environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Available Shift:  Full Time
