Job Description

SBM Management is currently looking to hire an Application Development and Data Manager to join their team! As the Application Development and Data Manager, you will be responsible for leading, directing and managing the day-to-day development and activities related to our applications. You will manage and assist with all of the operational aspects of the development and support teams. Ensuring that all the production applications meet our needs and project tasks are delivered on time and on budget. The applications development and data manager performs work of considerable difficulty in planning; assigning and directing computer applications program design, development and implementation. This position also oversees the organizational master data management process.

Responsibilities
  • Plans, assigns and directs the activities of professional and technical personnel involved in the design, development and systems analysis functions required to create new computer applications programs or install and implement software
  • Build custom business applications through Salesforce
  • Define, execute, and monitor the master data management strategy
  • Define and implement standard operating procedures, templates and set standards for the development support for all of our client’s custom development activities.
  • Reviews and analyzes existing applications programs and programs in development to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of those programs
  • Conducts meetings with senior level employees to determine data processing requirements based on new project priorities and system needs.
  • Assign and review the design layout for programs required for special projects.
  • Reviews performance of applications programs to ensure program efficiency, program documentation, and to ensure that output meets the needs of user departments.
  • Prepares regular reports for senior level executives showing functioning of the system, status of program development and division needs.
  • Apply your subject matter expertise to a variety of web development tools and technologies, such as .NET, JavaScript frameworks, R, HTML, CSS, Responsive Design, relational and non-relational databases, or other related technologies within modern web application frameworks.
  • Oversee business application developers in Salesforce
  • Oversee data architect and cloud ETL analyst
  • Manage the maintenance and bug fix development cycles.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly manages subordinate employees.
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in Computer Science strongly preferred or a related discipline with at least 8 years of experience.
  • 3-5+ years of applications development and management experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience with Salesforce
  • 1-3 years using an ETL or iPaas tool
  • Experience deploying custom business applications through the Salesforce Platform required
  • 4-7 years’ experience in an Object Oriented language (.Net, Java)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to details and ability to clearly communicate and share the solutions with the team.
  • 3+ years of proven leadership skills and ability to manage staff

Available Shift:  Full Time

Compensation:  Depends on experience
