Job Description

UI Engineer

About Us

4insite is a Cloud-Based Work Management Platform that manages workflow through an ecosystem of powerful tools. Those tools help facilities teams and service providers manage scope, coverage & quality while increasing overall communication and delivering job-specific training & performance tracking. We are a collaborative group that thrives on supporting each other professionally and personally. Since we are still small enough, you will have access to everyone within the organization - so your opinions will matter.

About The Role

As UI Engineer, you’ll work in the front end across our web and mobile platforms. You’ll work directly with the design team, helping to bridge the gap between UI/UX best practices and product development. You’ll drive the creation and maintenance of our Design System by creating reusable and modularized components and patterns. This includes common design language, component development, user interface libraries and shared documentation.

Who You Are

●        You care more about your fellow team members than yourself. We are a collaborative group that thrives in supporting each other professionally and personally. As an organization, we put people first and expect you to feel the same way.

●        You are passionate about solving problems creatively and recognize urgency as a core value. You take initiative, anticipate and prepare more than you wait around and react.

●        You live to collaborate and contribute. We love people who aren’t afraid to passionately debate ideas but remain open minded enough to truly listen to other ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to rapidly prototype interfaces to finalize experiences in the browser.
  • Ability to lead the front-end strategy for building long term, scalable, and maintainable component library.
  • Meeting with the design team to discuss application features and design ideas.
  • Ability to estimate work for a project and modularize goals into clearly defined, executable tasks.
  • Ability to visualize how a static design will be coded. Proactively flag challenging areas and offer alternatives, as well as identifying areas for greater code reuse.
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and React
  • Expert in modern CSS best practices
