Job Description

SBM Management is looking to hire a Sustainability Educator and Outreach Coordinator to join their team!  The ideal candidate will be able to communicate in a positive, clear, and concise manner across a variety of mediums to different audiences. The Sustainability Educator and Outreach Coordinator is an experienced professional responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships through community outreach activities.

  • Proactively and openly articulate ideas and concerns with both corporate and project stakeholders, while balancing the objectives of both groups
  • Candidate should be a visionary, a change champion and a cheerleader for sustainability
  • Incorporate sustainable practices into the current work of a variety of employees/positions within the company
  • Use effective change management tools and techniques to innovate and gain buy-in and support company-wide.
  • Support both education and one-on-one interaction in the cafes daily
  • Support additional dumpster and compactor inspections
  • Retraining café staff to properly prepare material and use correct disposal containers.
  • Support education to Faculties, move team, construction and custodial teams
  • Coordinate all aspects of an event including - logistics, correspondence, financial reports and printed materials
  • Supports tracking to show proven results
  • High degree of integrity in dealing with client and all vendors

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five year work experience in project, facility management and program development.
  •  May be required to have a valid driver’s license
  • Has a strong performance orientation and skillful strategic thinking
  • Knowledge of industry standard methodologies, third-party providers and partners, and technologies.
  • Establishes clear expectations and continuously measures performance
  • The ability to work through stringent deadlines with acute attention to detail is required. Maintains focus on priorities
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively
  • Demonstrates excellence in both oral and written communications. Knowledge of external communications and cultivation techniques are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, word, PowerPoint, excel, outlook; familiarity with Max OS X and iOS

Available Shift:  Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm 

Compensation:  The pay rate for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
