Overview

SBM Management is currently looking to hire a Sr Procurement Analyst to join their team!  The SProcurement Analyst Actively interfaces with Procurement Management teams to mitigate financial risk and identify strategic initiatives to maximize profitability and maintain sustainable metrics for both operational and customer service. Works closely with Global Sourcing team to identify, and nurture relationships with Manufacturing and Supplier partners in order to promote a sustainable and profitable supply chain. Provides clear communication to Sr. VP on established financial indicators, participates in financial due diligence for new business opportunities (RFP review, bid modeling, contract administration), and maintains a variety of resources to accurately support cost accounting, forecasting and financial due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Manage Procurement in preparation of existing budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification for both internal and external use.
  • Responsible for all initiatives related to E-commerce, ERP/MRP implementation, and processes strengthening B2B/B2C platforms.
  • Provide Procurement with consistent visibility to current financial performance through weekly communications and reporting.
  • Escalate critical financial issues through appropriate channels to ensure monthly/quarterly performance goals are achieved.
  • Work directly with Procurement management team to develop monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets to achieve corporate objectives and desired profit expectations.
  • Provide timely reviews of financial status and progress in its various programs and activities as they relate to Procurement performance.
  • Coordinate and report quarterly Procurement incentive programs within corporate guidelines, controls and rewards.
  • Supports Business Development team in pricing activities for new and existing customers to align and protect the overall financial integrity of the organization.
  • Identify key cost drivers in various lines of business to continuously improve pricing structure and increase the organizations competitive advantage.
  • Collect/analyze internal and external market data to drive down the organization’s overall cost of ownership, and work directly with Sourcing team to implement cost savings initiatives through supplier partners.
  • Utilize market intelligence to quantify emerging market segments and increase the existing customer value proposition. Support customer facing reporting and analytics for existing business
  • Support dashboard and scorecard reporting internally as well as for external customers
  • Oversees the partnership with various project and business management to understand and document the project objectives and scope
  • Oversees, plans and implements analysis work and highlights risks and issues while working closely with project managers
  • Guides team in the communication and management of business objectives, requirements and overall specifications by working with business users, project manager and Sr. Project Manager
  • Ensures team is properly identifying business needs and providing appropriate recommendations, while defining and monitoring costs and associated benefits

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a College or University or 4-6 years related project experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in financial planning, and analysis, management reporting and project management, preferably in a labor-intensive industry. 
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports, MS SQL, and Financial report writers.  
  • Experience with integrating data from multiple systems into single application or platform.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Solid technical and analytical skills in finance, general accounting.
  • Previous experience with financial applications and budget systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with various functional groups.
