Overview

SBM Site Services is currently looking to hire a Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team at their corporate office in McClellan, CA.  The Senior Human Resources Manager performs highly responsible, detailed level human resources for all Company’s Divisions across the Nation, including; planning, organizing, HR Management, information classification, data integrity, employee records, data entry, and related areas.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions nationwide and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Provides strategic HR support to all aspects of Corporation.
  • Leads HR initiatives and ensures alignment to corporate and local goals and metrics.
  • Support Corporate Benefits Department in the management and administration of benefit plans, employee participation and enrollment.
  • Supervises the work unit personnel in Human Resources Data Entry.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Interprets and enforces labor laws, regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Composes and prepares various formal and written documents.
  • Maintains the integrity of HR data and data compliance within HRIS system.
  • Investigates Employee Relations issues and grievances.
  • Supports compliance with Corporate Training Program.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Manages background and drug test vendor relationships.
  • Project management as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                     

  • Directly supervises 2 to 5 employees, including but not limited to, HR Coordinators and HR Assistants.  Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as laws, operating and maintenance instructions, and Collective Bargaining Agreements. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
