Job Description

SBM Management is looking for a Senior Controller to join their team!  This is a full Corporate Controllership role for a multi-entity multi-national services business.  Directly responsible for managing the financial close and company reporting cycle. Supervises all core accounting departments (GL, AP, Billing/Collections, Payroll).   Lead role in ensuring innovative and best business practices are implemented and followed and that they provide excellent support to the business and effective internal controls.   Key point of contact for the annual audits.    This is a leadership role with direct reports that manage the various accounting teams.  

  • Excellent accounting and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal staff, other departments and with our operations team.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills, especially managing and manipulating large data sets.
  • Ability to deliver results with cross functional teams and other departments.
  • Ability to identify and implement scalable solutions that improve services, business controls and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead and drive projects that improve department processes, tools and enable us to scale the business more effectively.
  • Manage a team of self-independent Controllers and department Managers
  • Identify relevant measures and drive accountability for on-going performance against business and strategic objectives by preparing for and help leading regular business review processes.
  • Responsible for the financial translation of business issues and developments
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative analytical work that unlocks business insights and drives sound decision-making on key business issues
  • Understanding the business and initiate opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to work in an dynamic and fast paced environment

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in accounting, finance or relevant field with 5+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • CPA preferred
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Available Shift:  Full Time

Compensation:  Depends on experience
