Job Description

SBM Management is currently looking to hire a Recruiting Assistant to join their team!  The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for supporting operations with the posting of frontline employee positions and helping coordinate job fairs when available.  They will also support recruiters with the prescreening of candidates. 

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for necessary workflow of incoming frontline employee resumes to Hiring Managers
  • Routes interested candidates to managers and prepares candidates for next steps in recruiting process when applicable
  • Troubleshoots any issues candidates may have when entering data into the ATS platform
  • Works with various levels of management and employees.
  • Provides back-up support to the Recruiting Coordinator as well as works closely with Recruitment Team.
  • Assists with job postings and maintenance of job boards
  • Proactively source through various social media outlets
  • Assists with the distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support recruitment programs
  • Matches and evaluates candidate skills to site needs through screening and interviewing
  • Conduct market analysis and industry research to inform and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion in use of information related to employees, managers, and departmental operations without exception
  • Maintains regular contact to and develops relationships with operations teams, and referral sources to identify current staffing needs and requirements and projected openings
  • Helps establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout recruiting process
  • Assists with projects, as needed

Job Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
