Overview
SBM Management, a dynamic integrated facilities support organization, is currently searching for a Payroll Specialist to join our in-house payroll team. The Payroll team is responsible for all activities required to complete the payroll process. The Payroll Specialist l will work as part of the Payroll team and performs tasks to establish and maintain employee/payroll records for weekly and biweekly multi-state payrolls. Duties may include entering timecard adjustments, new hires, retros and bonuses into the payroll system. The Payroll Specialist l must demonstrate general understanding in the following areas of payroll; processing, time and attendance, and operational best practices.
Responsibilities
- Completes daily departmental task, processes work for on and off cycle payrolls
- Support and maintain effective communication with employees on general inquiries and ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met
- Process timecard, payroll, and benefit adjustments
- Calculates Retro payment adjustments
- Complete additional projects as outlined by the Payroll Supervisor
Qualifications
- Payroll experience in a fast-paced, multi-state, demanding environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Experience working with larger payroll systems that integrate or interface with other systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll
- High School Diploma required
- FPC designation preferred
