Job Description

Marketing Communications Manager

SBM is growing, and we’re building the right team to grow with us!  Okay, we recognize that’s a bit cliché, but hey, it’s the truth. We’re consistently reaching new milestones, developing new products, programs, and service enhancements, and we need someone to grab a megaphone and tell the world about it! Hint - that’s where YOU come in!

About you:

You have experience building and launching communications campaigns and love the thrill of the chase supporting materials and collateral for targeted biz-dev pursuits. Some might say you’re a low-key sleuth who doesn’t mind hunting down the right information and sources to tell compelling stories. You’re also a strategic, big picture thinker, but you don’t mind getting your hands dirty to develop content and meet tight deadlines.

For you, our maybe/hopefully/could-be/future Marketing Communications Manager, it’s easy to shoot the breeze with anybody – from our frontline teams to the tip-top executive leadership folks. Communicating is your passion, and you do it concisely, confidently, some may even say, expertly. If you’re nodding along and thinking, “hey, that IS me,” then let’s connect.

What you’d be doing:

  • Conceptualize and execute strategic internal and external Marcom campaigns to meet growth objectives
  • Oversee multiple dynamic projects and coordinate creative design and writing resources to meet deadlines
  • Filter complex ideas / concepts into easily digestible and captivating content
  • Identify opportunities to build case studies and share achievements
  • Work with creatives across diverse media to convey intended messages
  • Build understanding of key clients’ core pain points and build content to address these gaps
  • Keep updated on industry trends as well as best practices to promote successes and reach targeted audiences

What we expect:

  • Know-How: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • Expertise as a written communicator: bonus if you’re able to share some writing samples
  • C-Level Rapport: You’ve worked with C-Suite and have the ability to maintain relationships with Senior VP's, CMOs, Directors, etc.
  • It’s not your first rodeo: You have 7+ years' experience in Marketing Communications, with 3+ years in management
  • You’re a Professional Role Model: You make a commitment to mentoring, leading and inspiring your teams
