Overview

SBM Management is currently looking to hire a QA Manager to join their team! The QA Manager will be leading a team of Quality Assurance Analysts including Vendor resources, and will partner with other team members – PMO, Business, etc. – to ensure overall technical solutions meet business needs and align with the technology organization’s strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, create and drive the QA strategy.
  • Put together the QA process and support QA resources in their execution of it.
  • Negotiate and oversee external QA development efforts.
    Continually improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of QA efforts.
  • Provide hands on technical leadership to the team, including your own code contributions.
  • Champion the reliable delivery of software through continuous improvement of software development practices.
  • Define detailed technical requirements from high-level product descriptions and enable teams to do the same.
  • Participate in building, and maintaining data-driven test automation tools and frameworks using clean coding practices and functional programming methodologies.
  • Select, train, motivate and develop on-site and remote team members to achieve individual, team and company goals.
  • Hold team accountable for quality work and meeting deadlines; assign and prioritize work as needed.
  • Perform debugging and root cause analysis of product issues or defects.
  • Work closely with Project Management to align QA tasks with project deliverables.
  • Participate in systems architecture discussions, recommending best practices for architecting developed systems in accordance with approved policies and standards.
  • Maintain operability of developed systems by ensuring that development standards are defined, implemented, and followed.
  • Maintain operability of applications, resolve bugs, and implement approved new functionality in collaboration with the PMO.
  • Ensure testing and quality assurance of features and overall product before releasing.
  • Fulfill customer requests while maintaining corporate process, strategy, and standards.
  • Drive and facilitate innovation within the team.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a College or University or 5+ years related project experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Masters preferred.   
  • Previous experience in managing projects within an Agile software development environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of object oriented development practices with an emphasis in the .NET technology stack.
  • Highly proficient in data analysis, data migration tools, data modelling.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional groups to accomplish goals
  • Ability to work within a team to meet established project goals
  • Ability to communicate professionally, concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in software development roll outs
  • Required to have a valid Driver’s License


 Available Shift:  Full Time

Compensation: Depends on Experience
