Job Description

SBM Management is currently looking to hire an Assistant Area Manager to join their team!  This position will manage company programs and area staff to ensure compliance with contract duties between company and customer by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

  • Coordinating and directing operations necessary to carry out contractual responsibilities and profitability that meet both the Customer’s contractual expectations but to exceed their service expectations resulting in the creation of complete Customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a safe work environment for self and employees by enforcing the company’s safety, recognition, and training programs.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, such as FLSA, OSHA, ADA, etc by working with Human Resources and Area Manager. 
  • Manages and retains a qualified staff that is reasonably satisfied with position and compensation, understands and is trained for their position and has a clear line of sight to the goals and expectations of the company and recognized the impact their contributions to the Company
  • Travel is required for this position for those sites within the designated area

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages subordinate staff. Is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and evaluation of these staff employees and line level functions.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • In-put in the following functions: appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements

  • Six months to 1 year related experience and/or training; High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license and meet SBM Driver Approval requirements
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Available Shift:  Full Time

Compensation:  The salary for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 per year
